FELLOWSHIp: Kol Yisrael
Looking to learn more about Israel, the Israeli people, and the rich and diverse culture of Israel? Join the Israel Learning Fellowship (ILF) to dive deep into the history, society, and politics of Israel while also making new friends and learning from exciting speakers and educators.
Each fellowship will consist of 6 weekly sessions + a requirement to attend one Israel program throughout the semester, and students will be paid $200 upon successful completion of their program.
Kol Yisrael: Zionism
This series examines the historical and contemporary context of Zionism, delving into the diverse perspectives that shape ongoing debates. At its heart, our learning centers on two guiding questions: How do competing visions of Zionism align and diverge? And, both today and throughout history, what beliefs, values, and challenges have influenced Zionism and those who advocate for it?
Kol Yisrael: Ethnic Diversity
This fellowship offers a dynamic, hands-on journey into Israel’s rich ethnic mosaic. Together, we’ll uncover the stories of six distinct communities, exploring how each navigates the balance between “becoming Israeli” and preserving its unique cultural identity. Our learning will come alive through immersive experiences—including cooking traditional dishes that connect us to the heritage of each community we study.
